The Ristorante Pizzeria La Bussola at Schafgasse 34 in Aalen-Wasseralfingen is a family business of the Maniscalco family. Owner Francesco Maniscalco came to Aalen from Sicily in 1971; after running restaurants in Westhausen and Aalen, the family took over the former Gasthaus Lamm in Wasseralfingen – his wife Rosalba and son Vincenzo work alongside him, Vincenzo in the kitchen.
The promise is "100 % genuine Italian cuisine": original Italian pizza, homemade pasta, meat dishes and fish, all from fresh ingredients; guests praise the involtini, among other things. All dishes are also available to take away, and celebrations and parties are catered for – there is room for around 120 guests inside and 40 on the terrace.
Opening hours are Monday and Wednesday to Sunday from 11:30 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 21:00; Tuesday is the day off, and the restaurant is closed on the last Monday of each month. Table reservations on 07361 62205; current notices at pizzeria-labussola.de.
