Kumon Lerncenter Aschaffenburg – Mathematik und Englisch

Kumon Lerncenter Aschaffenburg, run by Agnes Albert, has offered maths and English tuition using the Kumon method since April 2003 – today at Christian-Schad-Straße 6 in the Nilkheim district, after moving from Liebigstraße. Kumon was founded in Osaka in 1955 by Toru Kumon and, with more than 80 learning centres, is one of the largest providers of out-of-school education in Germany. The principle: children from pre-school to upper secondary learn with daily worksheets at their own pace – “more than tutoring: a proven learning method, lasting success and good grades in the long term”.

The centre sees itself as multicultural and looks after children from more than 15 countries; so far three pupils have completed the entire maths programme and twelve the English programme – the youngest English graduate was six years old. Lessons take place on site or online via KUMON CONNECT, parents have their own waiting area, and parking is free. The placement test with consultation is free; after that one subject costs 98 euros a month (second subject or sibling 88 euros) plus a one-off registration fee of 55 euros.

Class times: Monday and Thursday 3 pm to 5 pm, Tuesday and Friday 3 pm to 5:30 pm, Saturday 10 am to 12 pm; the centre is closed on Wednesdays. Contact: +49 162 5670278 or via the form at kumon.de/aschaffenburg.
