Der Marburger Turnverein 1846 e.V. ist einer der ältesten Sportvereine in Marburg. Gegründet wurde er 1846 und hat seitdem eine lange Tradition im Breitensport. Der Verein bietet ein vielfältiges Sportprogramm für Jung und Alt, von Turnen und Gymnastik bis hin zu Kampfsportarten und Ballsportarten.
Neben dem Breitensport organisiert der MTV auch Wettkämpfe und Turniere. Besonders bekannt sind die jährlichen Turnfeste, bei denen sich Sportler aus der ganzen Region messen. Der Verein legt großen Wert auf die Förderung des Nachwuchses und bietet zahlreiche Kinder- und Jugendangebote an.
