Der 1. FC Nürnberg, liebevoll "Der Club" genannt, ist einer der traditionsreichsten Fußballvereine Deutschlands und wurde 1900 gegründet. Mit neun deutschen Meisterschaften ist der FCN einer der erfolgreichsten Vereine der deutschen Fußballgeschichte. Besonders in den 1920er Jahren und in der Nachkriegszeit prägte der Verein den deutschen Fußball maßgeblich und brachte zahlreiche Nationalspieler hervor.
Der Verein spielt im Max-Morlock-Stadion und ist bekannt für seine leidenschaftlichen Fans und die besondere Atmosphäre bei Heimspielen. Neben der Profimannschaft unterhält der FCN eine erfolgreiche Nachwuchsarbeit und verschiedene Amateurmannschaften. Die Vereinsfarben Rot und Schwarz sind in ganz Franken ein Symbol für Tradition und Leidenschaft im Fußball.
Das Vereinsgelände an der Valznerweiherstraße ist gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar und liegt im Nürnberger Stadtteil Zerzabelshof. Hier befinden sich neben dem Stadion auch die Geschäftsstelle, Trainingsplätze und der Fanshop. Besucher können das Gelände sowohl an Spieltagen als auch für Stadionführungen und Veranstaltungen besuchen.
