Der Wasserturm Oldenburg ist ein historisches Wahrzeichen der Stadt und bietet einen einzigartigen Ausblick über die Dächer der Innenstadt. Erbaut im Jahr 1893, diente der Turm ursprünglich der Trinkwasserversorgung. Heute ist er ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel für Touristen und Einheimische gleichermaßen.
Auf der Aussichtsplattform in 50 Metern Höhe können Besucher die Altstadt, den Schlosspark und die umliegenden Grünanlagen bewundern. Neben der atemberaubenden Aussicht bietet der Turm auch eine Ausstellung zur Geschichte der Wasserversorgung in Oldenburg. Im Souvenirshop finden Gäste zudem allerlei Andenken an ihren Besuch.
Der Wasserturm ist ganzjährig geöffnet und gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen. Direkt am Turm befinden sich kostenlose Parkplätze. Für den Aufstieg zur Aussichtsplattform müssen Besucher 114 Stufen erklimmen, was für Familien und ältere Menschen etwas anstrengend sein kann.
