How we determine the best
No jury panel, no advertising package. The placement results from what customers have rated — paid packages consist solely of the certificate, plaque and marketing materials.
The basis of assessment
Verified reviews
Only reviews that have passed our check are counted. Every review is checked for origin and plausibility before it counts towards the ranking.
Minimum number of reviews
A listing takes part in the ranking from five verified reviews. This prevents a single five-star review from lifting an entire business to the top.
Rangfolge
Sorting is by the effective rating: the average of the verified reviews on our platform. If there are none yet, the public Google rating serves as an approximation.
Aktualität
The rankings are recalculated continuously. A placement is therefore always a snapshot and can change.
Local comparison
Comparison takes place within a city or within an industry — never across all businesses in Germany.
Qualitätsprüfung
Suspicious review patterns are checked manually. In case of doubt, a review does not count towards the ranking.
What does not influence the placement
To avoid any misunderstandings — these factors demonstrably have no effect on the rank:
A premium listing
Premium brings more visibility and features, but no better rank.
Advertising bookings
Ads and rankings are strictly separated here.
Business size
A single business can beat a chain — and regularly does.
Duration of membership
A new listing can immediately be in first place.
Grounds for exclusion
Reviews or listings to which one of these points applies do not count towards the ranking:
- Reviews that were bought, exchanged or obtained through discounts
- Reviews by employees, relatives or the business itself
- Suspicious review patterns, such as many five-star reviews in a short time
- Listings with obviously incorrect business details
- Businesses that are permanently closed or no longer reachable
Report manipulation
If a placement seems implausible to you, report it to us. We check every report and correct the ranking if it is justified.
