What does taking part in the award cost?

: Taking part in the ranking and the digital seal are free in the basic package. Only the additional services around the award are paid: printed certificate, wall plaque and marketing materials. There is no obligation to book a paid package.

Can I buy my way into the award?

Accepted Answer

No. Only the certificate, plaque and marketing materials are paid for. The placement results solely from the verified reviews. A paid package does not improve your rank — not even indirectly.

Wie melde ich mich an?

Accepted Answer

Via the form on the award page. You enter your business details, choose a package and submit the registration. With a paid package you are then forwarded to payment.

Welche Zahlungsarten gibt es?

Payment is processed via Stripe. Depending on the country, credit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay and SEPA direct debit are available. We issue an invoice to your company address on request.

What happens if I do not achieve a placement?

Then you do not receive a certificate — and pay nothing for it. Paid packages are fully refunded in this case.

How many reviews do I need?

From five verified reviews, your listing takes part in the ranking. Below that it does not appear in the rankings, because individual reviews would distort the result too much.

Does a premium listing improve my placement?

Accepted Answer

No. Premium brings additional visibility and features such as statistics, but has no influence on the rank. Rankings and paid placements are strictly separated here.

How often are the rankings updated?

Accepted Answer

Continuously. New reviews are included as they come in, and the rankings are recalculated regularly. A placement is therefore always a snapshot.

Why is my business not in the ranking?

Accepted Answer

The most common reasons: there are not yet five verified reviews, the listing has not yet been activated, or other businesses in the same city and industry have a higher average rating.

How are the reviews checked?

Accepted Answer

Every review goes through a check of origin and plausibility. Suspicious patterns — such as many five-star reviews in a short time — are additionally checked manually. In case of doubt, a review does not count towards the ranking.

May I use the seal if I was awarded once?

Accepted Answer

Only as long as the placement is current. If your business loses its place in the top 10, the seal must be removed from the website. The year on the seal makes the reference period transparent.

Can I contest a placement?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If a placement seems implausible to you or you suspect manipulation, report it to us via the contact form. We check every report and correct the ranking if it is justified.

Question 13

Does the award also apply to Austria and Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Businesses based in Germany, Austria or Switzerland are ranked, provided they are listed in a city we cover.
